The first season was broadcast in Denmark from April 2, 2017 to May 14, 2017 on the television channel Kanal 5 Denmark . In Germany it was broadcast on ZDFneo from October 6, 2017 . action
On a supposedly normal day, the 15 passengers on a subway in downtown Copenhagen are kidnapped by three masked men. They are locked away in a subway station under construction. The hostage-takers demand a ransom of four million euros from the Danish government, which is not prepared to pay this ransom.
A terror task force , led by the Afghan war veteran Philip Nørgaard, takes over the operation and police psychologist Louise Falck, who is having an affair with Philip, acts as negotiator. However, the hostage-takers prefer to contact the journalist Naja Toft, which makes the hostage-taking public.
Since the government is unlikely to pay the ransom, Naja Toft starts a fundraising campaign to raise the ransom privately.
