Albert Adamo
Albert Adamo (born May 26, 1849 in Munich ; † February 8, 1887 there ) was a German genre painter and draftsman .
Life
Albert Adamo was born as the son of the ministerial archivist Max Joseph Adamo in Munich in 1849, attended the local high school and was supposed to pursue a legal career while his brother Max Adamo took up the profession of history painter at an early age .
In 1873 Albert Adamo also showed his talent with the genre pictures Morgentoilette (lady in white dress), The first house key (a locksmith's apprentice) and In the laboratory , which he worked on again in 1881 as a necromancer and in 1884 as an alchemist .
He also painted excellent portraits, for example of the Munich brewery owner Matthias Pschorr (1877) or of King Ludwig II in the costume of the Order of Hubert (1878) for the auditorium of the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich , where he had been a drawing teacher since 1875.
Adamo also drew some cheerful pages for the Munich picture sheet and the home calendar .
