Albert Auer

Albert Auer OSB (born January 27, 1891 in Landshut ; † March 20, 1973 in Flüeli-Ranft ) was a German Roman Catholic philosopher and Benedictine .

Life

He entered the Emmaus monastery in 1911 . He was ordained priest in Regensburg in 1921. After completing his doctorate at the University of Munich in 1925 and his habilitation in Salzburg in 1928 , he was a full professor of philosophy there from 1930 to 1965, with particular emphasis on ethics, natural law and state philosophy.
