Albert Boehm
Albert Wilhelm August Boehm , pseudonym : Karl Emil Schwenk; (* February 14, 1877 in Wetzlar ; † May 25, 1957 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld ) was a German mining official who headed the Prussian Oberbergamt Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
Life
He was the son of the head of the Kreissparkasse Wetzlar. After attending the humanistic grammar school, he studied mining at the universities of Bonn and Berlin. From 1901 he then worked in the Weilburger Bergrevier, among others, and in 1905 was appointed Prussian mining assessor. After that, he was then in the inspection Heinitz in Saarbrücken and in World War I in 1915 as vice chairman of the Imperial mining administration at the governor general in Belgian Brussels operates. After returning to the German Reich in 1919, Albert Boehm became deputy director of Berginspektion IV Saarbrücken. Just one year later, he moved to the coal industry for the Arnsberg administrative district in Hagen as mining and board member. In 1923 he was appointed Oberbergrat at the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Mining Authority under Mining Captain Wilhelm Bornhardt (1864-1946). In 1928 he was promoted to Ministerialrat and transferred to the Prussian Ministry of Trade and Industry in Berlin. After the seizure of power by the National Socialists Albert Boehm joined in 1933 as Councilor of the Prussian Ministry of Economics and Labor. In the same year he was appointed mining captain of the Clausthal-Zellerfeld mining authority and remained in this position until he was 70 in 1947.
Among other things, he was a member of the old gentlemen's association of the Mining and Hüttenmännischer Verein zu Aachen-Berlin-Clausthal e. V.
He published some of his works under the pseudonym Karl Emil Schwenk.
