Albert Bovenschen

Rudolf Wilhelm Albert Bovenschen (born December 27, 1864 in Ostrowo , Province of Posen , † February 9, 1939 in Berlin ) was a German journalist.

Life

Bovenschen grew up in his hometown and studied after graduating from high school from 1882 at the University of Breslau . During his student days he became a member of the Corps Silesia Breslau . In 1883 he moved to the University of Leipzig , where he a. a. Heard lectures from Friedrich August Eckstein , Rudolf Hildebrand , Georg Voigt and Hermann Masius . With a doctoral thesis on Jehan de Mandeville , Bovenschen was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD. In the following years he worked as a freelance writer and journalist for the Berliner Tageblatt . He later became managing director of the German Ostmarkenverein in Poznan and, after returning to Berlin, managing director of the Central Association for Combating Social Democracy . Bovenschen did not belong to the Corps Silesia between 1883 and 1926 and became a member of the Corps Frankonia Prague .
