Albert Bushnell Johnson
Albert Bushnell Johnson (born January 20, 1869 in Fairton , Cumberland County , New Jersey , † February 21, 1941 in Sarasota , Florida ) was an American Romance scholar and Hispanist .
life and work
Johnson studied at Brown University in Providence (graduated in 1892), where he also completed his university teaching career as an instructor for French and Spanish (from 1892), assistant professor (from 1899) and associate professor for romance languages and literature (from 1903 to 1934). In 1924 he was doing research in South America (including Brazil).
