Albert Demangeon
Albert Jean Marie Eugène Demangeon (born June 13, 1872 in Cormeilles , Eure, † July 25, 1940 in Paris ) was a French geographer. He is considered a modernizer of geography and geography teaching.
Demangeon was a student of Paul Vidal de la Blache . In 1905 he received his doctorate in the field of regional geography of France. He became a professor in Lille , then at the Sorbonne (1911), where he turned to human geography .
