Franz Albert Paul Falke (born January 5, 1922 in Schmallenberg ; † March 3, 2010 ibid) was a German entrepreneur and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Albert Falke left school with secondary school leaving certificate and completed commercial and technical training in the family's own Falke hosiery factory . In 1940 he passed the sales assistant examination. After studying at the textile engineering school in Chemnitz , he worked for the family company Falke.

He was married to Doris Falke; there are four children from the marriage.

Political party

Falke was a member of the NSDAP from 1940 and a member of the CDU since 1948. Between 1955 and 1971 he was a member of the board of the CDU in the Meschede district and its treasurer from 1958 to 1971. He was a member of the board of the regional association Westphalia-Lippe from 1960 to 1966, then a managing board member of the economic council of the CDU .

politics

At the local political level, Falke was a member of the Schmallenberg representative office from 1952 to 1960 and the Meschede district council from 1956 to 1975.

Falke belonged to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from the 5th to 8th electoral period from July 21, 1962 to May 28, 1980 as a directly elected member for the constituency 130 rsp. 131 Meschede-Wittgenstein in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district .

Engagements

Albert Falke was a devout Catholic . He had been a member of the Federation of Catholic Entrepreneurs (BKU) since 1953 , its federal chairman from 1965 to 1969. He was the initiator of the Schmallenberg Spring Conference of the BKU, which has been taking place since 1960.

In 1962 he was named Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in Cologne Cathedral on December 15, 1962 by Lorenz Jaeger , Grand Prior of the German Lieutenancy .

honors and awards

Falke was honored with the Schmallenberg Ring of Honor in 1983 . He was awarded the Cross of Merit 1st Class and the Great Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany . Falke was honorary chairman of the CDU in Schmallenberg.
