Albert Halley

Albert Halley (* 1843 ; † 1920 in Duisburg ) was a German administrative and ministerial official.

Life

Albert Halley studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . In 1862 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Bonn . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1869 he became a government assessor. In 1870 he moved to the administration of Alsace-Lorraine . From 1872 to 1873 he was district director of the Erstein district , from 1874 to 1882 of the Altkirch district and from 1882 to 1884 of the Zabern district . In 1884 he moved first as a laborer, then as a ministerial advisor in the interior department of the Ministry for Alsace-Lorraine. He was permanent commissioner to the Federal Council for Alsace-Lorraine. From 1897 he was also a part-time representative of Prussia and Brunswick to the Federal Council. In 1908 he retired. Most recently he lived in Kempen .
