Albert Hoffmann (journalist)

Albert Hoffmann (* around 1858; † October 26, 1894 in Berlin ) was a German specialist writer and editor in charge of the paper newspaper .

Life

Hoffmann, who died at the young age of only 36, had developed an internationally valued technical and drawing skill. His "nimble pen" was emphasized in obituaries . In his short phase of life he worked for almost all specialist journals before he took on the role of editor in charge of the paper newspaper published by Carl Hofmann .

Hoffmann, who knew how to combine theory and practice in a skilful manner, had made a special contribution to the systematic development of the accident rate . In the specialist literature he wrote instructive treatises , for example 1882 to 1885 in the Journal für Buchdruckerkunst and from 1883 to 1885 in the Archive for Buchdruckerkunst .

In 1893 Hoffmann published a second edition together with Ernst Wentscher with 250 illustrations on the subjects of typewriters and copying machines .

In the last two years of his life, Hoffmann had ceased his work in the technical literary field "due to the effects of an insidious ailment."
