Albert Janssen

Albert Janssen (* 1939 in Piliava ) is a German lawyer .

Life

After graduating from the Ulrichsgymnasium Norden in February 1960 , he first studied Protestant theology at the University of Marburg for three semesters and then completed a semester (six months as an unskilled worker in a Gutehoffnungshütte plant ). He then studied law for four semesters at the University of Heidelberg and from the summer semester of 1965 at the University of Göttingen up to the first state examination in law . After this exam in the 1967 summer semester, he wrote his dissertation , supported by a grant from the Volkswagenwerk Foundation .

The clerkship he graduated at the Higher Regional Court of Oldenburg (summer term 1971 visit to the University of Administrative Sciences ). After the second state examination in law, he became an administrative clerk in Lower Saxony for the then regional president in Aurich . This was followed by a secondment to the Wittmund district and then the transfer to the administrative school of the general administration of Lower Saxony in Hildesheim .

In March 1977 he was seconded to the legislative and advisory service at the Lower Saxony State Parliament in Hanover as an auxiliary officer and transferred to the Lower Saxony State Parliament a year later. On leave for a good two years and with the help of a grant from the German Research Foundation , he wrote his habilitation thesis under Ernst-Wolfgang Böckenförde . In June 1987 he qualified as a professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Freiburg in the subjects of constitutional and administrative law, canon law and legal methodology. In 1990 he was entrusted with the management of the state parliament administration and appointed director of the Lower Saxony state parliament. He held this position until his retirement in 2004.

He taught as an adjunct professor at the law faculty of the University of Hanover .
