Albert Karl Burmester
Albert Karl Burmester (born March 11, 1908 in Bremen , † March 19, 1974 in Bremen) was a German boat builder and writer who also published under the pseudonyms Axel Berger , Hans Lander , Alex Reberg and Geo Barring .
biography
Burmester grew up in Bremen, attended elementary school there and learned the trade of boat builder. He then worked as a boat builder and shipyard manager of the family business Burmester Werft in Bremen and Swinoujscie . From 1949 he moved up to the management of the company.
Among other things, he wrote western novels for the book series Bastei- Wildwest-Romane , Western-Express , Rodeo-Western , Top-Western , Colorado Western Story and Top-Western-Express , as well as adventure novels and science fiction novels . The total number of titles published by him (with the publishers Bastei , CS Dörner and Alfred Mülbüsch) is over 500; some have also been translated.
