Albert Marie Lebourg (born February 1, 1849 in Montfort-sur-Risle , † January 6, 1928 in Rouen ) was a French landscape painter from the school of Rouen.

Albert Lebourg attended the Lycée Évreux. He studied painting at the Académie de Peinture et de Dessins in Rouen with Gustave Morin. He then emigrated to Algiers , where he taught drawing at a school from 1872 to 1877. There he met the painter Jean Seignemartin (1848–1875) from Lyon, under whose influence Lebourg brightened his color palette. He married in Algiers in 1873.

In 1879 he made his debut at the Impressionist exhibition alongside Claude Monet , Alfred Sisley , Pierre-Auguste Renoir and others. a. Since then he has taken part in the Impressionist exhibitions several times. On returning to France, he took up residence in Paris, initially at Quai de Paris 9. His later addresses were 16 Rue de la Cage from 1898 to 1903 and 9 Quai du Havre from 1903, with a view of the Seine . The river appears in many of his works. In addition, from 1892 he had a house in Rouen , where he spent a large part of the year.

In September 1920 Lebourg suffered paralysis of the left side of the body. Nevertheless, he remarried on February 26, 1921. His second wife was Alice Lambin, his first wife's sister.

Lebourg was made a knight on June 27, 1903 and an officer of the Legion of Honor on February 22, 1924 . Lebourg was elected a member of the Académie der sciences, belles-lettres et arts of Rouen.
