Albert Pütz (painter)

Albert Pütz (* 1886 in Gräfrath , district of Solingen , † 1961 in Düsseldorf ) was a landscape painter and graphic artist from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Pütz attended the Evangelical High School in Elberfeld . He then studied landscape painting with Eugen Dücker in Düsseldorf . In 1906/1907 he was a student at the Royal Art Academy and School of Applied Arts in Leipzig . Then he returned to Düsseldorf, where he belonged to the artists' association Malkasten from 1909 to 1961 and was part of its board of directors. As a board member in 1934 he wrote about the "Düsseldorfer 'Malkasten' and its artist festivals" in Westermann's monthly notebooks . He was also a member of the Association of Düsseldorf Artists and the Reich Association of German Artists .
