Albert Stinson
Albert Stinson (born August 2, 1944 in Cleveland , Ohio , † June 2, 1969 in Boston ) was an American jazz bassist . He played with Chico Hamilton .
Life
At the beginning of his short career, Albert Stinson worked in Los Angeles with Terry Gibbs , Frank Rosolino and Charles Lloyd , and finally he was a member of Chico Hamilton's band for a long time . He later toured with Larry Coryell and worked with John Handy . Most remembered is his involvement in Bobby Hutcherson's Blue Note album Oblique in 1967. Two years later, Stinson died of a drug overdose while on tour.
