Albert Thellt (born May 12, 1881 in der Enge in Zurich; † June 26, 1928 in Zurich ) was a Swiss botanist . Its official botanical author abbreviation is “ Thell. »

Live and act

He was an assistant and later a professor in Zurich from 1906 to 1928. He worked on the 3rd and 4th editions of "Flora der Schweiz" by Hans Schinz and Robert Keller , 1909 to 1914 and 1923, respectively.

Honors

The Austrian botanist Otto Stapf named the plant genus Thellia from the sweet grass family (Poaceae) after him. The genus Thelltiella O.E. Schulz from the cruciferous family (Brassicaceae) is also named after him.
