Albert Valley

The Albert Valley is a high valley in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It lies between the Conway Peak and the Wendler Spur in the Apocalypse Peaks mountain range . To the north the valley opens to the Barwick Valley .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the valley in 2005 after Mary Remley Albert (* 1954) from the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory in Hanover , New Hampshire , who carried out field research on ice and snow structure between 1996 and 2003 as part of the International Trans-Antarctic Scientific Carried out expedition and belonged to numerous bodies on polar research.
