The Wendler Spur is a rock spur in the East Antarctic Viktorialand . It is located between the Albert Valley and the Papitashvili Valley in the Apocalypse Peaks .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2005 after the German climate researcher Gerd Wendler from the Institute for Geophysics at the University of Alaska Fairbanks , who between 1979 and 2001 for the United States Antarctic Program on studies on katabatic winds and their interaction with sea ice on the coast of the Adelie- and Georg-V-Land was involved.
