Albert Wiedemann

Albert Wiedemann (born June 19, 1880 in Nördlingen , † May 13, 1952 in Berlin-Spandau ) was a German politician ( DVP , DNVP ).

Life and work

After graduating from elementary school and attending secondary school in Nördlingen, Wiedemann completed an apprenticeship as a painter and varnisher from 1894 to 1897. He then continued his education at technical schools and worked as a craftsman in Austria , Tyrol and Northern Italy in 1901/02 . In 1902/03 he did military service in the Bavarian army. He then completed training in citizenship and economics courses at the German Association in Berlin. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . During the time of the Weimar Republic he was chairman of the Reich Federation of Patriotic Workers and Works Associations in Berlin-Siemensstadt .

Wiedemann was initially a member of the German People's Party (DVP) and since 1920 a district councilor in Spandau . From 1921 to 1928 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament . On March 14, 1924, he switched to the German National People's Party (DNVP). In the Reichstag election in September 1930 , he was elected to the German Reichstag , to which he was a member until 1933.
