Friedrich Albert Hauber , from 1861 von Hauber (born December 14, 1806 in Stuttgart , † September 14, 1883 in Ludwigsburg ), was a German theologian.

After attending grammar school in Stuttgart, Hauber attended the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Maulbronn and Schöntal from 1820 to 1824 . From 1824 to 1829 studied Protestant theology and philosophy at the Tübingen monastery . Then he was vicar in Stuttgart, in 1832 he became a repetiteur at the monastery in Tübingen. In 1833 and 1834 he went on a scientific journey that took him to Berlin, Bonn, Dresden, Hanover, Hamburg and Vienna, among others. In 1834 he became a helper in Nürtingen, in 1841 a member of the extraordinary synod and in 1843 a member of the chorale book commission. In 1843 he went to Tübingen as archdeacon , where he was also an assessor in the marriage court senate . In 1846 the doctor of theology was appointed lecturer for Wuerttemberg church and school legislation at the University of Tübingen and in 1848 dean in Tübingen.

In 1851 he finally became prelate and general superintendent in Ulm and at the same time assessor in the marriage court senate. From 1868 he was prelate and general superintendent in Ludwigsburg , where he was also a member of the curriculum commission. In 1869 he became a delegate for Esslingen and in 1874 a member of the state synod as a sovereign member .

politics

The general superintendents of the Protestant regional church were, by virtue of their office, privileged members of the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament . Therefore, after his appointment in Ulm, Albert Hauber also entered the state parliament in 1851. He held the office until his death in 1883.
