Alberto Ammann (born October 20, 1978 in Córdoba , Argentina ) is a Spanish actor .

Life

Ammann was born in 1978 in Cordoba, Argentina, the son of journalist, politician and writer Luis Alberto Ammann and Nélida Rey. Shortly afterwards, his family moved to Spain to avoid the Argentine military dictatorship . After that, the family returned to Argentina. Ammann later moved back to Spain to study.

From the mid-2000s he appeared as an actor. He had his breakthrough in 2009 in the role of jailer Juan Oliver in the thriller Cell 211 - The Prison Rebellion . At the Goya award ceremony in 2010, he was named Best Young Actor.

In 2012 he appeared in the thriller Invader . Since 2015 he has played the Colombian drug lord Hélmer "Pacho" Herrera in the US series Narcos .
