career

The 2 meter tall small forward began his career at Canoe NC before moving to CB Estudiantes in 1988 . His first title win was the cup victory in 1991/92, in the same year he reached the semi-finals of the European Cup with his club . In 1996 Herreros moved to city rivals Real Madrid after tough negotiations, with whom he was able to conquer the European Cup Winners' Cup in his first season and finished the league in second place. In 1999/00 and 2004/05 he finally managed to win the ACB League with Real Madrid. His three-point goal, seven seconds before the end of the decisive fifth game for the 2005 Spanish championship, against TAU Vitoria , is particularly memorable . With this he gave his team the title and at the same time withdrew from active sport. Herreros currently works as an official in the basketball section of Real Madrid.
