Alberto Recchia

Alberto Recchia (born March 13, 1935 in Rome , † May 24, 2017 in Frosinone ) was an Italian football player .

Athletic career

After working in the area unterklassigen League Recchia debuted in 1959 for US Salernitana in the third-tier Serie C . There the goalkeeper conceded 28 goals in 34 league games and thus attracted attention in a higher class. After only one season he moved to the second-rate Serie B , where he joined AC Parma . After 108 second division games in three years, he moved to Serie A in 1963 , where he was under contract for one season with Lazio . There he was mainly a substitute player, after two first division games he moved on to FC Messina in the top Italian division . With the club, however, he rose at the end of the 1964/65 season in the second division.

Recchia left Messina after relegation and joined the third division US Avellino in 1912 . From 1967 he was active for a season with league rivals US Casertana before he then succeeded at Frosinone Calcio . With the fourth division, he rose from Serie D in 1971 , after seven years and 196 league games, he ended his active career at the club in 1975.

Little is known about the further life of Recchia, especially away from the football field.
