Alberto Salomoni (born April 16, 1966 in Casale Monferrato ) is an Italian volleyball coach.

Career

Salomoni came to Germany in 1998 because of his partner from Italy. There he worked for ten years as an assistant coach and scout for the women's national team . In parallel to his engagements in various associations, he worked for the DVV until 2008 . Until 2005 he also looked after the male offspring at the volleyball boarding school in Frankfurt . He was then signed by USC Braunschweig , which had just managed to stay in the women's Bundesliga. A year later, the Italian moved to Bayer Leverkusen within the league . Because the future of the club was uncertain, Salomoni moved on to Köpenicker SC after one season . In 2008 he used an exit clause for a commitment in his home country and took over training in the B1 league at Famila Chieri . In the following season he looked after the club in his hometown Casale Monferrato in the same league, before finding his next assignment with Leonardo Pallavolo Florence in 2010/11 . In 2011 he returned to Germany to SC Potsdam , where he worked until 2016. Since the 2016/17 season Salomoni has coached the women's team at MTK Budapest. Since March 1, 2017, he has also been the national coach of the Hungarian women's volleyball team .

In 2018 Salomoni returned to Italy to take up a responsible job in junior training.
