Alberto Selva

Alberto Selva (born September 21, 1964 in San Marino ) is a San Marino politician.

He graduated from the University of Bologna with a law degree in 1987 . He then received a scholarship at the University of San Marino in 1988/89 . He then taught San-Marine law from 1988 to 1991. In 1989 he was admitted to the bar and notary, from 1999 to 2001 he was secretary of the bar association, from 2004 to 2006 he was a member of the council of the bar association. From 2004 to 2006 he was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Legal Institute of the University of San Marino (Consiglio Scientifico dell'Istituto Giuridico dell'Università di San Marino) . In 1991 he became a member of the Board of Directors of the Social Insurance ISS (Istituto per la Sicurezza Sociale) .

Selva belonged to the Movimento Biancoazzurro, which joined the Alleanza Popolare in 2005 . In 2006 he was elected to the Consiglio Grande e Generale , the Parliament of San Marino, on the AP list. In 2008 he was re-elected, in the parliamentary elections in 2012 the AP lost three seats and Selva failed to make it into parliament. In the legislative period from 2006 to 2008, Selva was a member of the Foreign and Internal Affairs Committee and was a member of the San Marino delegation to the Interparliamentary Union . In the following legislative period he was again a member of the Interior Committee and the delegation to the IPU. In the election period from October 1, 2007 to April 1, 2008, he was together with Mirko Tomassoni Capitano Reggente (head of state) of San Marino.

Selva was elected in October 2009 to succeed Mario Venturini as coordinator of the Alleanza Popolare, and in November 2011 he resigned.

Selva is married and has one daughter. He lives in Serravalle .
