Albrecht Janssen
Albrecht Janssen (born January 8, 1886 in Bingum (today a district of Leer , East Friesland ), † February 27, 1972 in Hamburg ) was a German writer and translator.
Life
From 1900 to 1906 he attended the teacher training institute in Aurich . In Hamburg he passed the second teacher examination and the secondary school teacher examination. After participating in the First World War , he began studying in Hamburg and then went to vocational school . In 1946 he received an appointment as a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute of the University of Hamburg and has been retired since 1951 . His publications range from High German novels and stories to Low German dramas and numerous scientific works, the editing and co-editing of anthologies , the writing of radio plays and the editor of Low German magazines .
Works
The best known is his art fairy tale about the Erdmantjes , published in 1926 .
