Alcazaba (mountain)

At 3371  msnm, the Alcazaba is the fifth highest mountain on the Iberian Peninsula and the third highest and steepest in the Sierra Nevada in Andalusia .

It is climbed from the south via an easy route. The starting point is the mountain village of Capileira or the year-round mountain hut Poqueira in the southeast. The route from the north is more difficult due to its steep wall. The starting point here is Güéjar Sierra across the valley of the Río Genil .
