Alcomsat-1 is a commercial communications satellite operated by the Algerian space agency ASAL .

He was born on December 10, 2017 at 16:41 UTC with a Long March-3B - carrier rocket from the rocket launch site Xichang Satellite Launch Center in a geostationary brought orbit. It was officially handed over to ASAL on April 1st, 2018.
