Aldo Giuffrè

Aldo Giuffrè (born April 10, 1924 in Naples , † June 26, 2010 in Rome ) was an Italian actor , comedian and voice actor .

Life

Giuffrè was initially a radio newscaster, first in Naples and later in Rome. As such, he announced the end of World War II at RAI . He made his stage debut in 1942 with Eduardo De Filippo's ensemble , whom he - in his own words - described as his only and therefore most important mentor. Luchino Visconti and Giorgio Strehler are among his directors .

In 1947 he made his screen debut in Mario Mattòlis The Drawn (Original: Assunta Spina ). Other film and television assignments followed, such as the supporting role of the captain in the Spaghetti Western Two Glorious Scoundrels by Sergio Leone . From the 1960s onwards, he increasingly took on television offers; From 1972 he began a 15-year successful stage collaboration with his brother Carlo , during which they successfully performed classics of the Neapolitan theater.
