occupation

Two Mafiamen in the Far West is one of the non-listed in the German-speaking spaghetti western comedies of the comedy duo Franco & Ciccio , the first from the year 1964th

action

The two Italian cousins Franco and Ciccio Capone own a farm in Texas, on the bottom of which they discover a gold mine. As soon as this becomes known, bandit boss Rio will be there with his people, who will press them to find out the location of the mine. The brave owners die, but give their faithful helper Ramon the job of looking for their grandchildren living in Sicily. Ramon brings the two gentlemen who are not blessed with the greatest spiritual gifts to Puerca Vaca. Through their stupidity they manage to put the foreman Rios, Guercio, to flight, whereupon they are appointed sheriffs of the place. After numerous adventures, the two manage to find out the location of the mine. When an Indian chief presents two daughters who look very similar to the two heroes, they give the treasure to the whole city.

criticism

"Western clichés are dragged through the cocoa in a coarse but targeted manner," writes Christian Keßler . "The naive story is only a pretext to put the humorous means of the two comedians in the light, albeit with accuracy," summarized Segnalazioni Cinematografiche .

Remarks

The film songs are Fuoco nel cielo , performed by Giancarlo Guardabassi , and the theme song by the leading actors Franco & Ciccio. As with most of the duo's films, grossing 342 million lire was good.
