Edith Peters
Edith Arlene Peters (born April 14, 1926 in Los Angeles ; † October 28, 2000 there ) was an American singer and actress .
Life
Peters was the fourth of five sisters; Virginia, Mattye and Anne appeared as The Peters Sisters , Edith formed a duo with Joyce. Since the 1940s, the colored singer was a regular guest in nightclubs. In 1958 Edith went to Italy, where she married her manager Silvio Catalano. From 1960 she was seen in numerous films in supporting roles; Both Edith and her sisters had already been hired to perform singing in films in the United States. She remained active as a singer and recorded numerous titles.
