After initially traveling with her mother's theater company, Guzmán recorded her allusive debut CD Bye Mama and decided to continue as a singer. It has had fans across Latin America since the late 1980s and 1990s . She is not only considered the "reigning" Queen of Rock and Roll in Mexico , although her last album Algo Natural was released in 1999. One of her greatest hits is the title Eternamente Bella ( Eternally Beautiful ), with which she reached number 1 on the charts in Mexico and other Latin American countries. It is already considered a modern classic there .

In 1991 she had a daughter, whom she baptized Frida out of admiration for the artist Frida Kahlo . In 2000, she married a German businessman who was soon accused of fraud in the United States . She soon divorced him again. Although Alejandra Guzmán does not isolate herself and, on the contrary, seeks contact with her fans, she was at times downright besieged by paparazzi . She was the victim of an incident in April 2003 that resulted in a miscarriage for which she blamed the media.
