Alejandro Díaz y Pérez Duarte

Alejandro Díaz y Pérez Duarte (born July 17, 1945 in Mexico City ) is a former Mexican ambassador .

Life

Duarte completed his studies in mechatronics at the Universidad Iberoamericana in 1967 with a diploma. From 1968 to 1969 he studied business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich .

From 1970 to 1980 he headed a high-volume retail self-service chain in Mexico and from 1980 to 1987 the logistics division of Kimberly-Clark in Mexico.

Duarte has been a member of the Partido Acción Nacional since 1964 , where he was a local functionary until 1993 and a functionary for international relations at the federal level from 1993 to 2003.

He was a member of parliament in the 54th legislature from 1988 to 1991 and a member of the 56th legislature from 1994 to 1997. In the 56th parliamentary term he was secretary of the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs.

From 1997 to 1998 he was technical secretary of the Parliamentary Commission on International Affairs and from 2001 to 2002 he was Assessor to the Commission on Foreign Affairs of the Senate.

With his official seat in Athens , he was also accredited with the government of Cyprus . From October 4, 2007 to April 25, 2013, Duarte, based in Vienna, was accredited by the governments of Slovakia and Slovenia . He was also a permanent representative of the Mexican government at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and at the ILO in Vienna.
