Aleksandar Božić

Aleksandar "Sascha" Božić (born December 6, 1985 in Freiburg ) is a German speaker , mental and personality trainer and former basketball trainer .

career

Božić worked as a basketball coach in Freiburg im Breisgau from 2001 , supervised a school club and youth teams at USC Freiburg , and later the USC regional league women.

From 2010 to 2013 he held the post of assistant coach at the USC "Eisvögeln" in the women's Bundesliga . In the first 2010/11 season, the basketball players won the German runners-up and in April 2013 he was an assistant coach in the Freiburg win of the German cup competition. After a one-year stay in Los Angeles ( United States ) as part of his studies (sports, English, history for teaching), he took over the position of head coach for the "Kingfishers". In the 2014/15 season he will lead Freiburg to the semi-finals of the Bundesliga championship round.

After the 2016/17 season, in which Božić had to accept relegation from the Bundesliga with the Freiburg women, he gave up the coaching position for professional reasons (legal clerkship at the Kepler Gymnasium Freiburg). For a while he works for the German Olympic Sports Confederation as an expert on foreign issues. In 2015 and 2017 he was the national coach of Germany's female U15 national team at the North Sea Cup. From 2011 to 2018 he was a lecturer in teaching at the basketball association of Baden-Württemberg.

In 2018 Božić decided to switch to business. As a speaker , mental trainer and consultant he specialized in improving the performance of companies , executives and teams .
