Life

After studying journalism and philosophy and working for the daily newspaper “Oslobođenje” for two years, he worked as a culture editor for the radio program “Sarajevo 202” for the television and radio station Sarajevo, where he continued his journalistic and journalistic work until the beginning of Civil war in Bosnia published. During this time he graduated from the Philosophical Faculty in Belgrade with a degree in aesthetics , published short stories, essays and poems and participated in the realization of stage plays in the Sarajevo theater scene.

Leaving the war zone, he settled in Frankfurt am Main in 1992, where he took various jobs as a cook, bouncer and bodyguard. After a short collaboration with the diaspora daily newspaper "Vesti", he took over the position of the responsible editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine "Spona". A short time later, he published his first novel "On which side is Walter" (Na čijoj je strani Valter), an autobiographical statement about the experience of the war in his homeland. Later the novel "Ikarus Traum" (Ikarov san) followed, which is divided into two simultaneous stories, a refugee story and a war story in Sarajevo. On the basis of his literary work, he was accepted as a member of the Association of Writers of Serbia. The writer continued his journalistic work as editor of the foreign edition of the Belgrade daily newspaper "Ekspres Politika" and during this time also exhibited his pictures, especially watercolors, which were created during his stay in Germany.

At the end of 2002 he moved to Munich and started again as editor of the Balkan editorial team at the radio station “Lora” , working in his original medium and as an organizer of cultural events within the framework of the “Yugoslav-German friendship” association. There the volume “In the foreign garden” (U tuđem žardinu) and a novel in German “In the shadow of the rainbow” appeared . This was followed by the theoretical treatise in the field of fine arts and aesthetics - “The Liberation of Form and Formalism in Art Theory” (Oslobođenje forme i likovni formalizam).

After 2000, Obradović also dealt with documentaries and reports as part of his work for the production company "Preview Production" and worked, among other things, in the realization of the first episodes of the series " Die Ludolfs ", the Pro7 report "Die Gangs von Frankfurt" and the BR report "With Allah in the fight for oil" with.

In 2010, after four years of writing, the author finished the last book of his anti-war trilogy and published it under the title "Von Gott und Murmeln" (O Bogu i klikerima). The book links two wars, the Second World War and the war in Bosnia, and represents a lively and filigree character study of the Balkans.

The short stories and poems from the writer's blog, devoted to the pre-war period in Sarajevo, his birthplace, found their place in his seventh book “In Search of the Lost City” (U potrazi za izgubljenim gradom), which was published in the summer of 2016. With his short stories at the end of 2017, in his book, he created a completely different outcome to the “Unfinished Fairy Tale” (“Nedovršena bajka”), dreamy and wistful, and thus opened up a virtual past designed according to his vision. A year later the author published the third volume of the "Sarajevo Trilogy", with the name "Under the Bell Glass" ("Pod staklenim zvonom") and thus remained true to his narrative style.
