Aleksandris Sverckovs (born January 22, 1990 in Alūksne ) is a Latvian biathlete .

Aleksandris Sverckovs is a student, lives and trains in Aluksne. He is trained by Sergejs Sverckovs and starts for the Sport University of Aluksne. He made his international debut in the context of the Junior World Championships 2006 in Presque Isle , where he was 25th in the individual, 47th in the sprint and 46th in the pursuit. He contested his first race in the Junior European Cup in 2007. In Martell he took part in a Junior World Championship for the second time in 2007 and now came in 21st in the individual, 50 in the sprint, 41 in the pursuit and 10 in the Latvian relay. In Otepää he competed in the junior competitions of the Summer Biathlon World Championships on roller skis and ran to 14th place in the sprint and 13th in the pursuit. In 2008 he started in Ruhpolding for the third time at a Junior World Championship. Sverckovs was 18th in the sprint, 16th in the pursuit and eighth in the individual and relay races. A little later he also took part in the junior biathlon championships in 2008 in Nové Město na Moravě , where he was 13th in the individual, 29th in the sprint and seventh with the relay. Even with the Biathlon European Championships in 2009 from Ufa Latvian initially launched at the competitions of the juniors. In the individual he reached the 14th place, was 31st in the sprint and 26th in the pursuit. For the season, Sverckovs was appointed to the men.

In 2009 Sverckovs made his debut in the IBU Cup . He contested his first race in a sprint in Nové Město na Moravě and was 43rd In the subsequent pursuit race, he improved to 42nd place and thus achieved his best result so far in this racing series. At the 2009 European Championships in Ufa, he was used in the relay race for the first time in a major event for men and was 11th alongside Edgars Piksons , Oskars Muižnieks and Rolands Pužulis .
