Alessandra Gioia (* 1980 in Rome ) is an Italian soprano .

Career

Gioia began her vocal studies at the age of 16 with Dina Nizza and Emanuela Deffai in Rome. She then studied in Siena , Sulmona and Osmina with famous singers such as Renata Scotto , Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli, Renato Bruson , Mirella Freni , Gianni Raimondi , Lella Cuberli, Raina Kabaivanska and Antonio Juvarra.

As a concert singer Gioia u. a. in Osimo , Pesaro , Senigallia , Recanati , Siena , Sulmona , Benevento and in the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She sang Puccini's Suor Angelica at the Teatro Rosetum in Milan , Iphigenie auf Tauris by Gluck / Strauss at the Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca ; Bizet's Carmen and Donizetti's Don Pasquale in tour productions in Italy and the title role in Verdi's Aida for As.Li.Co. OperaDomani in various Italian theaters.

In 2015 Gioia sang internationally for the first time in the role of Abigaille in Verdi's Nabucco for the summer theater in Kiel .

Private

Gioia lives with her daughter in Osimo , Italy . She is a single parent.
