Alessandro Andrade de Oliveira , better known as Alessandro Cambalhota , (born May 27, 1973 in Teixeira de Freitas ) is a former Brazilian football player .
Career
Start of his career (1993 to 1999)
Alessandro Cambalhota started his career in 1993 at GE Novorizontino . After two years he switched to CR Vasco da Gama , where he hardly got a chance, he only played two league appearances this season. In the 1996 season he moved to FC Santos . There he continuously demonstrated his skills, scoring six goals in 19 games in the first season. After he was hardly used in 1997 (one game, one goal), he completed 24 league games the following year and scored four times in the opposing goal. With FC Santos he won the Campeonato Brasileiro de Futebol in 1997 and the Copa Conmebol in 1998 .
Several moves abroad (1999 to 2007)
In 1999 Alessandro made the leap to Europe and moved to the Portuguese club FC Porto . However, he left the blue and white at the end of the 1999/00 season again after he had scored a goal in 21 league games. In the same year he returned to Brazil and played for Fluminense FC in 2000 (18 games / 1 goal). In 2001 Alessandro signed a contract with Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte and was there for two years. He wore the Cruzeiro jersey at least 18 times in the two seasons and scored four goals. In 2003 he had a short interlude at Atlético Mineiro (6 games / 2 goals) before moving to the United Arab Emirates for al Kuwait SC , where he was under contract until June 2004. From July to December 2004, Alessandro played 13 league games for Corinthians São Paulo , in which he scored once.
For the second half of the 2004/05 season he moved to the Saudi Arabian club al-Ahli , but left the club that same year to join Figueirense FC (13 games / 4 goals). In January 2006 he signed a contract with the Turkish club Denizlispor until the end of the calendar year; by then, Alessandro had completed 21 league games (four goals). In 2007 he was in the squad of Kayseri Erciyesspor for a short time .
Remaining career (2008 to 2012)
After a year in Turkey, Alessandro Cambalhota returned to Brazil and let his career end there. He was still with Guaratinguetá Futebol (2008), EC Noroeste (2008-2009), CA Linense (2010-2011) and with his very first professional club GE Novorizontino under contract before he ended his active career after the 2012 season.

On March 28, 1999, Alessandro completed an international match against North Korea for the Brazilian national soccer team .
