Alessandro Tassoni Estense di Castelvecchio (born January 19, 1909 in Turin , † December 26, 1985 ibid) was an Italian diplomat .

Life

He studied at the University of Turin until July 1930 Law and by July 1931 Political Science . In 1932 he entered the foreign service and was employed in the Aegean . In 1933 he was employed in Lugano , in 1938 in Graz and in 1940 in Sofia . In 1942 he was first class secretary of the embassy in occupied Athens. In 1943 he was employed in Bern . From 1947 to 1949 he was employed in Belgrade . From 1950 to 1956 he was employed in Paris .

From 1956 to 1959 he was Consul General in Munich . From 1959 he headed the Department of Politics in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs . From 1960 to 1961 he was Inspector General of the diplomatic missions and consular posts. From September 27, 1962 to November 25, 1964 he was ambassador to Tunis. From 1964 to 1967 he was ambassador to Buenos Aires . From 1967 to 1969 he headed the culture department. From 1969 to 1970 he was ambassador to Rio de Janeiro . From 1971 to 1973 he was ambassador to Warsaw . In 1974 he was retired .
