Alex Breckenridge
Alex Breckenridge (actually Alexander Dalglish Neilson Breckenridge; born April 17, 1932 in Buffalo ) is a former American long-distance runner .
In 1959 he was sixth at the Pan American Games in Chicago over 10,000 m and US champion in 15 km and 30 km road run .
In 1960 he won the Cherry Tree Marathon in 2:21:40 h on a possibly too short distance and was sixth in the Boston Marathon . At the US championship held as part of the Yonkers Marathon , he came third and qualified for the Olympic Games. At the Olympic Marathon in Rome he came in 30th place in 2:29:38 h.
In 1962 he was third in the Boston Marathon in 2:27:17 h and second in Yonkers. When the Boston Marathon in 1963 , he finished seventh.
