Alexsandro Fernandes Xavier (born April 1, 1973 in Recife , Pernambuco ), commonly known as Alex Fernandes , is a former Brazilian football player in the position of a striker .
career
Fernandes began his professional career in his hometown at Sport Recife and then played for the Brazilian teams Náutico Capibaribe and Mogi Mirim EC .
In 1999 he joined the Mexican League , where he initially for Monarcas Morelia played and was part of the team that in the Torneo Invierno 2000 for the first time in club history the Monarcas won the championship.
