Alex Wiesendanger

Alex Wiesendanger (born April 5, 1983 in New York City , New York ) is an American social worker and former child actor .

Life

Alex Wiesendanger only worked as an actor for a short time in his childhood. In 1993 he stood in front of the camera in Emile Ardolino's musical adaptation The Nutcracker and Bernardo Bertolucci's feature film Little Buddha . With the exception of these two films, Wiesendanger was no longer active as an actor.

As a young man, Wiesendanger studied music and political science at Binghamton University . He then moved to Illinois , where he studied social science at Loyola University Chicago . Wiesendanger became politically active at an early age. Still living in New York, he worked as an assistant to MP Michael Benjamin. In 2004 he worked in the campaign whose aim was to nominate Dennis Kucinich as the Democratic presidential candidate for the 2004 election, although not with the hoped-for success.

Wiesendanger now lives in Tennessee . Since August 2005, he has been a board member of the Tennessee Coalition to Abolish State Killing , or TCASK for short, an association whose task it is to campaign for the abolition of the death penalty . He also works as a missionary in schools on behalf of his religious community, the Jesuits.
