Alexander Andrejewitsch Berkutow ( Russian Александр Андреевич Беркутов ; born May 31, 1986 in Perm , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who has been under contract with Molot-Prikamje Perm in the Vysschaja Hockey League since 2012 .

Career

Alexander Berkutow began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of Molot-Prikamje Perm , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Vysschaya League , the second Russian division, in the 2003/04 season . For the team that rose to the Super League at the end of the season , however, he only completed one game and spent the entire rest of the season in its second team in the third-rate Perwaja League . With Molot-Prikamje the defender ran for two years in the super league and remained with the team even after its relegation in 2006. From 2006 to 2008 he was a regular player for Perm in the Vysschaya League.

From 2008 to 2010 Berkutow played for HK Spartak Moscow in the newly founded Continental Hockey League , in which he was able to prevail right away. For the 2010/11 season , the Russian moved within the capital to HK CSKA Moscow , for which he only played six games before he was committed in December 2010 by its league rivals Awtomobilist Yekaterinburg , where he ended the season. For the 2011/12 season he moved to HK Lada Tolyatti from the Wysschaja Hockey League , the new second Russian division.
