Alexander Besch (born October 15, 1955 in Döbern ) is a former German football goalkeeper and possibly also a defender. He completed a game in the GDR league for BSG Energie Cottbus .

Career

Besch played in his youth for the BSG Turbine Cottbus. He then moved to BSG Energie Cottbus in 1970. There he went to the second team in the district league Cottbus . In the league season 1975/76 Besch came to his first and only use in the first team. Instead of Andreas Wendt, he was in the starting line-up against BSG Wismut Aue on matchday 7 . Cottbus lost the game 3-1. After the season he moved to FC Vorwärts Frankfurt (Oder) , where he stayed until 1978. He then returned to BSG Energie Cottbus for two years and was again only used in the district league. From 1980 to 1989 he played for BSG Lokomotive Cottbus .
