Alexander Biach

Alexander Biach (born August 25, 1973 in Vienna ) is an Austrian association functionary and has been chairman of the board of the main association of Austrian social insurance institutions since May 9, 2017 .

Life

Biach attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Vienna 5, where he graduated. He then studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business . During his studies he joined the K.Ö.HV Rugia Wien in 1994. In the 1997/98 academic year, he was elected local president of the ÖCV . After graduation , Biach worked briefly in an investment bank and attended doctoral studies. After finishing his work in the bank, he did his military service in the armed forces and wrote his dissertation there. From 1999 to 2000 Biach worked as an assistant in the marketing department of the Chamber of Commerce . From 2000 to 2002 he worked in the press department as head of the online editorial department. Biach was then assistant to the general secretary until 2003 and then moved to the cabinet of State Secretary Helmut Kukacka , where he became head of the cabinet in 2004. Between 2007 and 2016 he was Director of the Economic Association in Vienna and a delegate in the economic parliament of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. From 2011 to 2016 he was chairman of the SVA Vienna and then first deputy chairwoman of the Vienna regional health insurance fund. From May 9, 2017, he was Chairman of the Board of the Main Association of Austrian Social Insurance Institutions.

Biach is a location lawyer in Vienna and deputy director of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce.
