Alexander Evgenievic Karl Leo von Lagorio

Alexander (Evgen'evic) Karl Leo von Lagorio (born August 15, 1852 in Feodossija , Crimea , † March 25, 1944 in Munich ) was a professor of mineralogy .

Lagorio studied mineralogy at the University of Dorpat and has made a special contribution to researching the geology of the Crimea and the Caucasus .

family

Alexander Evgen'evic von Lagorio's parents were the landscape painter Eugen Lagorio and Adelaide, b. Bernadazzi. With his wife Julie Louise von Faltin (daughter of Alexander von Faltins) Lagorio had seven children, including the cameraman and pioneer of color films Alexander von Lagorio . The Russian painter Lev Felixowitsch Lagorio was his uncle.
