After two years in the youth of the Scots , Hauser moved back to Austria and signed a contract with SC Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz . The Bregenzern he made his debut in the top division in Austria, scoring 2003, his first goal in this league.

With FC Wacker Innsbruck, Hauser was two points ahead of FC Admira Wacker Mödling and champion of the second-class Austrian first division in the 2009/10 season and thus rose with the team to the Bundesliga.
In 2014 he had to relegate back to the second division with the Tyroleans.
