Alexander Alexandrowitsch Jefimkin ( Russian Александр Александрович Ефимкин ; Latin transcription Alexander Efimkin; born December 2, 1981 in Kuibyshev ) is a former Russian cyclist .

Alexander Jefimkin started his career in 2005 with the Professional Continental Team Barloworld . For this team he won the Giro del Capo and Settimana Ciclistica Lombarda stage races in 2007 . He also competed for Barloworld with the Tour de France 2007, his first Grand Tour , which he finished in 99th place. As a member of the ProTeams Quick Step and Ag2r La Mondiale , he contested other major national tours, with his best result being 19th place at the 2010 Giro d'Italia . In his last two years as an active, he rode with Team Type 1-Sanofi in 2011 and 2012 and won the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey in 2011 .

After his career as a cyclist, Alexander Jefimkin u. a. active in the Professional Continental Team RusVelo as sports director .

Alexander's twin brother Vladimir was also a professional cyclist.
