Alexander Krieger (born November 28, 1991 in Stuttgart ) is a German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

In the 2010 season, Krieger first joined an international cycling team , the German UCI Continental Team Heizomat . After several years with various Continental teams, at the end of the 2014 season he drove as a trainee with the UCI Professional Continental Team NetApp-Endura . After he did not receive a regular contract there, he switched to the Luxembourg Leopard Development Team in 2015 .

In 2017 Krieger was nominated for the European Road Championships in Herning , Denmark , and finished 48th in the road race. At the Tour of Luxembourg in 2018, he finished two second stages and was fourth in the overall standings, with which he achieved his best career result to date.

After five years at Leopard, Krieger switched to the Belgian UCI ProTeam Alpecin-Fenix at the end of the 2019 season . At the German Road Championships 2020 , he won the bronze medal in the sprint of the front field.
