Aleksandr Dobroskok ( Russian Александр Михайлович Доброскок * 12. June 1982 in Busuluk ) is a Russian diver . He starts in artificial jumping from the 1 m and 3 m board as well as in 3 m synchronized jumping.

Athletic career

Dobroskok has so far participated in three Olympic Games . In artificial jumping from the 3 m board he came in 2000 in Sydney on rank 13, in 2004 in Athens on rank 7 and in 2008 in Beijing on rank 17. In synchronized jumping he won silver in 2000 together with Dmitri Sautin , in 2004 the duo finished seventh.

At the 2001 World Championships in Fukuoka Dobroskok won two bronze medals, from the 1 m board and in the 3 m synchronized jumping. He experienced his most successful World Cup in 2003 in Barcelona . He became world champion on the 3 m board and in synchronized jumping.

Dobroskok was also successful at the European Swimming Championships . At the European Championships in Helsinki in 2000 he won bronze from the 3 m board and silver in the 3 m synchronous competition. In 2006 in Budapest he won silver twice in jumping from the 1 m and 3 m board. At the European Championships in Turin in 2009 , he became European champion for the first time. He won jumping from the 3 m board.

His brother Dmitri Dobroskok (* 1984) is also a successful diver.
